The Big Business Breakfast took take place on Friday 26 March 2010. Colleges across Scotland held a number of events at their colleges all aimed at raising the profile of the work they undertake with the Business Community.
These events involved a number of our key partner stakeholders, such as; Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, Federation of Small Businesses, Business Gateway, Scottish Chambers of Commerce, Skills Development Scotland, Scottish Qualifications Authority, CBI and Alliance of Sector Skills Councils.

Angus College
Angus College hosted another successful Business Breakfast event, this time at the College’s Brechin Learning Centre. The event, which took place on Friday 26 March 2010 featured guest speaker, Gary McEwan, Chief Executive of Enterprise North East Trust who shared his business insights and his range of entrepreneurial experience.

Ayr College
Ayr College hosted a series of sector specific workshops led by employers from Monday 22 March 2010 - Friday 26 March 2010. The objectives were twofold: To enable students to find out about opportunities within a particular sector.To enable us to continue to build relationships with employers by giving them an opportunity to meet students, see our facilities and to hear about the courses we offer and the training opportunities available to them through Ayr College.
Cumbernauld College
Cumbernauld College recently held their first Big Business Breakfast within Cumbernauld’s Business and Conference Centre. The event was run in conjunction with Scotland’s Colleges and Motherwell College, as part of Scotland’s Colleges Mean Business ‘Business Week’. The event aimed to raise awareness of how the college sector currently supports more than 10,000 businesses across Scotland.

Dundee College
The Big Breakfast event was promoted to all local business contacts and included a presentation from local business representatives and relevant college staff. It allowed potential and existing clients to learn more about Knowledge Transfer activity and how working with Dundee College can enhance their business prospects.
Oatridge College
Oatridge College held an Industry Liaison Day – Horticulture & Landscaping on Thursday 25 March 2010.

Reid Kerr College
A free Business Networking breakfast was held on Friday 26 March 2010 in partnership with Renfrewshire Chamber of Commerce which included a presentation of Business to Business Training at Reid Kerr College.
