Governance Development Programme |
Website Survey
We would be grateful if you could take a couple of minutes to complete the Governance Development Programme Website Survey.

The Governance Development Programme is designed to offer Boards of Management of Scottish colleges support and assistance in addressing their development needs by providing access to:
- Materials and workshops to strengthen technical aspects of their responsibilites;
- resources which demonstrate good practice in support of more robust Board self-evaluation;
- tailored provision which reflects local circumstance for institutions.
In addition, because of the nature of arrangements for College Boards of Management, provision is available in a flexible manner to maximise access.
The programme is built around three strands of activity:
Strand 1: Effective Governance through regional workshops and a national conference.
Strand 2: Informed Governance through briefing sessions tailored to particular needs of individual boards.
Strand 3: Enhanced Governance through creation of a resource base of information and practice related to college governance.
The programme has a steering group with a broad remit to oversee support arrangements, commission evaluation of the programme components, receive reports and act upon recommendations and advise on future provision.
Who Should Attend
All members of governing bodies of Scotland's colleges including both new and existing members who want to refresh their knowledge and understanding of wider aspects of governance and accountability.
